The recent event hosted by DePECOS Institutions and Development Research Centre (DIADERC) and Tai Solarin University of Education (TASUED) was an insightful journey into the world of grant writing and scholarly careers in Africa. Held between February 15-16, 2024, at the prestigious TETFund 2012 Hall in TASUED, Ogun State, Nigeria, the event brought together academia and research enthusiasts to explore avenues for winning grants and advancing scholarly pursuits in Africa. 

It was a gathering of minds, fostering collaboration, and equipping participants with practical tools and knowledge essential for success in grant writing. The event underscored the importance of aligning research efforts with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and leveraging technology for research execution. 

 The Executive Director of YcDEI, Dr. Adefunke Ekine, a principal team member of the LOC, along with the new Program Officer, Grace Areghan, actively participated. Monitoring Officer Toyin Adebayo joined virtually. The year has commenced with officers honing their skills for improved performance ahead.

Overall, it was an enriching experience, highlighting the power of collaboration and collective effort in driving impactful research initiatives across Africa.
